Gili Tepekong Dive

GILLI TEPEKONG ISLAND

 

     

 

Tepekong is the bigger island next to Gilli Mimpang. There are three dive sites, Tepekong Canyon, Tepekong Blue Hole (also wall) and Tepekong Slope

 

Tepekong Canyon dive site:

 

First we entre from slope with the entry area is 12 mtr. near the wall of the island and than we go down deeper into canyon with a depth of 30 mtr. After we pass the canyon we will find the big sea mountain, because the current is like a washing machine. It will pull you down. Most of the time the current is strong here. Big fish will appear often, like mola-mola, dolphins, white and black tip reef sharks, nurse shark, barracuda, huge tuna fish, jack fish, schools of surgeon fish, unicorn fish and more. The water temprature is the same as around Gilli Mimpang.

 

Tepekong Blue hole and wall dive site.

 

At first we entre from slope with a depth of 12 mtr. and than go to 20 mtr. to find the entrance of the hole.The lenght of the hole is only 7 mtr. After exit  the hole we find a very nice deep wall. The wall is over 40 mtr. deep. The gorgonians on the wall are very nice. After leaving the hole we are welcomed by .............. the Mola-Mola !!! a really very nice experience. Big fish and turtles are all here.

 

Tepekong slope dive site

 

This site is special for seeing very nice corals and slopes. The white and black tip reef sharks, cuttle fish, turtles, mola-mola, jack fish, tuna fish, schools of sweet lips, unicorns and surgeon fish and so many more. Hard and soft corals, big gorgonians, hugwe boomes coral. The current depends on the tide and the moon. Our advise to experienced divers?? ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Go to Gilli Mimpang and Gilli Tepekong !!
